The Governors Awards were last night, and the annual event brought glitz and glamour as the industry’s brightest stars honored those who’ve made lasting impacts on cinema. Veteran casting director Juliet Taylor received the prestigious Academy Honorary Award,  British writer-director Richard Curtis, was recognized with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, and No Time to Die producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli were presented with the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award. The evening also saw a touching celebration for music legend Quincy Jones, who passed away at 91 on November 3, 2024.
