Gregg Wallace has impressed fans with his recent social media post as he reveals he’s shed the pounds and weighs just 12 stone.

While he might be known for co-presenting MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals for the BBC, the broadcaster showed that he hadn’t been over-indulging and was focused on his frame.

The 60-year-old presenter startled fans with a gym selfie video as he flexed his muscles and dance-lunged to the song Dance Monkey by Tones and I.

The caption of the post proudly revealed that he has just 17% body fat and has lost more than five stone in the past few years.

’60 years old, 12 stone, less than 17% fat,’ read the caption of the video.

Fans were incredibly impressed and took to the comment section to compliment the former greengrocer on his impressive physique.

‘Looking so good for 60, well done X’ said claire380 on Instagram.

‘Well done, Gregg, you are looking healthy, and it’s great you share this with others,’ said dollynan27.

‘👏 How do you manage your diet with all they nice meals in masterchef the professionals?’ katieroddie asked.

‘I’ve seen more fat in a pack of mince! 😂 well done 👏’ said mandymo76.

In January, Gregg claimed that he managed to lose weight without dieting. Speaking to OK!, Gregg explained that he just opted for healthier options of the food he loved, but never went hungry.

‘When I was looking at the calorie content of a bowl of cockles and a plate of oysters, I realised it was virtually non-existent.”

‘And then I looked at the calorie content of a piece of cod that I cooked in the pan as opposed to a piece of cod from the fish and chip shop, and realised that I could eat about nine fillets of cod for the equivalent of a fried one.’

Gregg has spoken openly about his fluctuating weight, after revealing he was warned by doctors to lose weight when he hit nearly 17 stone and was at risk of a heart attack.

In February this year while on, BBC Radio 2’s Michael Ball Show he said: ‘I was getting really big. And there’s a picture of me and my lovely mate John Torode in India. He looks lovely and I’m big – my shirt is hanging over my trousers, I wasn’t happy.

‘At the same time, my doctor did a blood test and he said: “We need to do something Mr Wallace. This blood test sample, your cholesterol is through the roof. You’re in for some big illness here.”

‘Those two things combined – being unhappy with how I looked and then the doctor telling me I was going to have a big heart attack – I started looking very closely at how I was living.’

Gregg said he then tried ‘all the diets under the sun and none of them work’. ‘You just beat yourself up emotionally, you think you’re weak willed,’ he said.
