The wife of TV presenter Gregg Wallace has been spotted making her first public outing since her MasterChef husband became embroiled in an investigation into misconduct on set.

Anne-Marie Sterpini - whom Gregg, 60, calls Anna - ended her public isolation as she topped up on petrol at a service station in Kent on Monday in photos obtained by the Daily Mail. Anna looked sombre as she filled up her car while seemingly alone, keeping her head down as she quickly completed the task.

Anna was dressed all in black, with a large calf-length puffer jacket covering her body, while she opted to go makeup-free and wear her hair down and unstyled. BBC star Gregg has frequently mentioned his wife in his deluge of posts following accusations of “inappropriate behavior,” telling his fans on Instagram that he wanted Anna to know he’d been loyal to her.

While Gregg has two older children from a previous relationship, he shares four-year-old Sid with Anna. The couple got married in 2016 after she slid into his Twitter DMs, asking whether duck and rhubarb went as well together as he claimed. Gregg previously opened up about his romance, explaining that she gave him an ultimatum about starting a family.

"I fell madly in love with Anna. I had never met anybody like that,” he revealed earlier this year. "And we had a conversation early on where she said, 'You do realise that I'm gonna want to get married and have a baby. That's what I want'. And I said to her, 'I wouldn't have chosen at my age to have a child. I was a single parent [in the past after a previous marriage]. However, I perfectly understand your position as a young woman and I love you madly, so I'm more than happy. Let's have a child.'"

Alongside deciding to have a child with Anna despite his earlier wishes, Gregg also revealed that he invited her parents to live with them in their £1 million Kent mansion in a bid to win the younger woman - over 22 years his junior - over. “I love Rena - we have such a giggle. We are roughly the same age,” he told The Sun of his relationship with Anna’s mum. ”Me and Rena remember the same TV shows and sing the same 1970s pop songs. Anna doesn’t know what we are talking about. We were singing Boney M at breakfast this morning and Anna has no idea.”

Wallace previously shared how the agreement came about as he told the Daily Mail: “I said ‘Yes, I’m willing to have a baby with you, but a couple of provisos... I’m not willing to swap my fun, sexy girlfriend for an exhausted mum. We make enough money, I’d like you to get help in the house.’ Anna said ‘What about my mum?’ That was perfect." When the arrangement first happened, Wallace told The Daily Star newspaper: “Anna can’t leave me because mum would have to leave as well. For an insecure old man with a younger woman, that’s good news.”
