Harry warned he needs to do one thing to fix relationship with William - but he's not going to like it

3 weeks ago 2

Prince Harry has been advised that there's only one route to building bridges with his brother Prince William, and it's likely not going to be palatable for him.

The possibility of the ongoing rift between the Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales coming to an end was hinted at recently when William publicly mentioned Harry by name for the first time in six years during an ITV documentary.

He reminisced about their visit to a homeless shelter with their mother, Princess Diana, approximately three decades ago. Some commentators have seen this as a tentative peace offering, but royal expert Rupert Bell suggests it would have been "odd" for William to exclude Harry from the narrative.

Moreover, Bell opined on Kinsey Schofield's YouTube channel that Harry must be ready to "eat some serious humble pie" if he hopes to rekindle a dialogue with William.

The siblings' relationship has been strained since Harry stepped back from Royal duties with Meghan Markle in 2020, followed by his scathing critiques of the monarchy and explosive revelations about William in his autobiography, 'Spare', including allegations of a physical altercation over Harry's marriage to Meghan, reports the Scottish Daily Express.

Bell remarked: "It would be odd if he didn't mention in this documentary, his brother, you know, the back story. I'm sure he's sad about the breakdown, because they were very close."

He further commented: "They looked after each other and that's what's so sad about it. The only way the olive branch is going to happen is if Harry eats some serious humble pie and says I've messed up."

Harry has also distanced himself from his father, King Charles, although the King appears more open to mending their relationship, with William and Camilla perceived as the main obstacles. In 'Spare', Harry referred to William as his "beloved brother and archnemesis".

It seems unlikely that Harry will initiate reconciliation, as he feels his family owes him an apology.
