First up: Timothée Chalamet. The fact that he’s turning 30 this year feels unreal—he still looks like he just walked out of high school, right? “To be young now, and to be young whenever—I can only speak for my generation—is to be intensely judged,” he told E! News.

“I can’t imagine what it is to grow up without the onslaught of social media,” he added. “And it was a relief to play characters who are wrestling with an internal dilemma absent the ability to go on Reddit or Twitter, Instagram or TikTok and figure out where they fit in.” He made these comments while discussing his movie Bones & All, set in the 1980s—back when social media didn’t rule everyone’s lives.

Without sugarcoating, Timothée kept it real: “Without casting judgment on that, you can find your tribe there, but I think it’s tough to be alive now. I think societal collapse is in the air—or it smells like it—and, without being pretentious, that’s why hopefully movies matter, because that’s the role of the artist… to shine a light on what’s going on.” Timothée always knows how to get deep, doesn’t he?

Another celeb who’s already left her 20s behind: Selena Gomez. We’re still processing this one, TBH. Back in 2022, Selena shared a heartfelt Instagram post reflecting on her 20s, calling it “a journey through good, hard, and beautiful moments.”

“Each of them has shaped me into the person that I am today,” she wrote, alongside stunning black-and-white pics from her birthday bash. “I am someone who is still learning, but is more certain about what matters and what she wants… I want to try my best to take the beautiful and the painful one day at a time and let it all make me into the very best me that I can be for myself/others/you.”
