With Donald Trump moving into the White House to serve his second term as President of the United States, his wife, Melania Trump, detailed how she and her son, Barron Trump, plan to spend their time once her husband is sworn in on January 20.

Melania, 54, appeared on the Monday, January 13, episode of Fox & Friends where she shared that she and her son plan on dividing their time between Washington, D.C., New York City, and their Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida.

"I will be in the White House, and when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach," she told viewers before adding, "But my first priority is, you know, to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife, and once we are in on January 20, you serve the country."

Barron, 18, started his freshman year of college at New York University's Stern School of Business in September 2024 and will be visiting the White House as often as he wants, according to his mother. Melania also told viewers of the morning show how she feels about raising Barron, saying, "I feel that children, we have them 'til they are like 18, 19 years old. We teach them, we guide them, and then we give them the wings to fly." She later added, "I always respect Barron's yes and no and what he likes to do, where he would like to be."

The incoming first lady also commented on her son's experience as a college student on an earlier episode of the morning show in December, where she expressed how different Barron's college experience is from the norm. "I don't think it's possible for him to be a normal student. His experience at college — it's very different than any other kid. He's very strong, and he knows that he's in a different position than other children," she stated on the episode.

Barron is Donald's youngest son and the only child he shares with Melania.
