Ellen DeGeneres' talk show may be over, but her guests can still recall how she made them feel during their appearances.

Ali Fedotowsky revealed on Kaitlyn Bristowe's Off the Vine podcast, released on December 24, that Ellen DeGeneres "made [her] feel pretty not great" during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The former Bachelorette star, now 40, said that while she was "so excited" to be a part of the show, she was let down.

She explained, "it's not that she was mean, per se, she just made me feel stupid."

Fedotowsky, who married Kevin Manno in 2017, recalled trying to be "funny and personable" during her appearance, but missing the mark.

"I just think that sometimes when you do a job like that all day, every single day for years, you're just kinda over it," she said. "And she's talking to people who are crafted and then here's this 24-year-old famous-for-no-reason comes on her show and she's like, 'I gotta talk to one of these idiots again?'"

She concluded, "And instead of her laughing with me, she was laughing at me. I just felt really stupid."

Fedotowsky made her appearance in May 2010 to promote her season of The Bachelorette.

For her part, Bristowe, 39, noted that she has heard stories of other people feeling the same way about meeting DeGeneres, 66.

The podcast host, who starred on The Bachelorette in 2015, added, "I think the world protected me from ever going on her show because they say, 'Don't meet your heroes,' and she was mine."

She added, "But I think it would have been really disappointing for me and now I dislike her because of everything I heard from very reliable sources [...] I don't get treating people like s–t but I get being over it and I always said that if I went on The Bachelorette for one reason, it was so I could meet Ellen DeGeneres."

The Ellen DeGeneres Show concluded after 19 seasons in May 2022 following allegations that the show was a toxic workspace.

DeGeneres is currently living in England with her wife of 16 years, Portia de Rossi.
