The Liga MX Apertura quarterfinals get going on Wednesday with a pair of matches, including Tijuana facing Cruz Azul. Cruz Azul is the No. 1 seed while Tijuana is the No. 8 seed.

How to Watch Tijuana vs Cruz Azul

Tijuana last played against Atlas in the match for the No. 8 seed, winning comfortably 3-0. Raúl Zúñiga scored twice, including a goal just four minutes into the match and then another at the 20-minute mark. Kevin Castañeda scored as well in the match.

Cruz Azul is in action for the first time since Nov. 9, when the team drew Tigres 1-1 to close out the regular season. The match was scoreless until Tigres scored in the 88th minute, but Angel Sepulveda put Cruz Azul on the board in stoppage time.

These teams last met in July with Cruz Azul winning 3-0.

Cruz Azul finished the regular season first with 42 points, winning 13 matches with three draws and one loss. Tijuana had 29 points, winning eight times and drawing five matches while losing four times.

Following this game, Tijuana and Cruz Azul head to Mexico City on Nov. 30 for the second leg of this matchup.
