Huda Beauty is synonymous with glam, and I've been a fan and avid collector of the brand's eye shadow palettes for years. The company has released several new products as part of its new era that have become viral hits and staples in my routine, like the Easy Blur Foundation and the auxFilter Color Corrector. But as Huda Beauty goes through a revamp — including a logo change and Huda Kattan stepping back in as CEO — it's sunsetting some iconic products, like the 18-pan eyeshadow palettes.

Huda Beauty's new Icy Nude Collection features the Icy Nude Eyeshadow Palette ($69), which is a cool-toned nude and neutral color story, and the last-ever 18-pan eyeshadow palette from the brand. The collection also comes with two new Blush Filter Liquid Blush ($21) shades and three new FauxFiller Lip Gloss ($19) shades — all of which I got to try out.

Ahead, you can see how the Icy Nude collection looks on my tan skin, and read my thoughts about the new palette.

What I Like About the Huda Beauty Icy Nude Collection

Icy Nude Eyeshadow Palette: I have a neutral undertone and most nude eyeshadow palettes can skew a bit too warm and orangey for my liking. The Icy Nude Eyeshadow Palette has shades that complement a wide range of skin tones, especially if you lean more cool-toned. I love that I can bring out those cooler undertones in my skin without looking washed out — which honestly makes this the versatile nude palette of my dreams. Not only does it have an array of velvety mattes that blend beautifully with one another and complement my skin tone, but it also has a range of unique metallic and shimmer shades that are fun, festive, and truly mesmerizing.

I was able to create six unique looks using this palette alone, as shown in the picture above. For a true nude eye look (top left), I used First Class as a base with Unapologetic on the crease and outer corner, and I lined my upper and lower lash lines with Faux Fur. For a shimmery gold look (top middle), I applied Gold Standard all over my lid, smoking it out with Faux Fur on my crease and outer corner and using She Riiich as a winged liner.

I wanted to get experimental and try an icy-pink look (top right) using the Aurora as my all-over lid shade, and to highlight my inner corner, I used Avalanche as a base and topped it off with Iced Out. I also added Iced Out alone as an outer corner highlight. For a more silver-toned look (bottom left), I applied Oneself as a base with Platinum all over my lid, and I smoked it out with the shade Poised on my crease and used She Riiich as a winged liner. I added Bling (bottom middle) as a glitter topper for a bolder, more glamorous look.

I wanted to play around with the two Triochrome shades (bottom right) and used Poised as my base shade. On my left eye, I applied the shade VVS, which delivers a more champagne-toned look, and on my right eye, I applied the shade Diamond Dew, which has a more silver-based tone. I added depth and smoked out both eyes with Poised and added First Class to my brow bone.

Icy Nude Blush Filters: Having tan skin, I often use bronzers or brown-toned blushes to give me a sculpted look while adding warmth to my complexion, and these Blush Filters from the Icy Nude collection do just that. The shade Latte (as shown on the right side image above) is a warm chocolatey-brown shade that complements my skin tone beautifully and delivers a natural look. The shade Coco Loco (as shown on the left side image above) is a neutral dark brown shade that delivers a bolder, sculpted look on my skin. Icy Nude Faux Filler Lip Glosses: The original shades of the Faux Filler Lip Glosses offer a deeply hydrating feel with a high-shine finish and pigmented wear. The Icy Nude lip glosses deliver the same results, but with a shimmery sheen instead, which I love for more festive looks. These glosses don't have chunky glitters, but rather an iridescent glimmer that adds a subtle duo-chrome effect to your lips, making them ideal as lip toppers.

My favorite shade is She Fire (as shown in the left side image above), which is a chocolate brown with pink-gold flecks. The shade She Flirty (as shown in the middle image above) is a lovely baby pink with silver flecks that pairs well with a nude lip. The shade She Glitzy (as shown in the right side image above) is an iridescent pearl shade with a pinkish-purple duo-chrome effect with silver flecks. This is my go-to shade as a lip topper since it blends out into a clear dynamic shimmer. You can read more about the hydrating feel in our in-depth review of the Faux Filler Lip Gloss review.

How to Use the Huda Beauty Icy Nude Collection

Icy Nude Eyeshadow Palette: I like applying and blending the velvety matte shades with eyeshadow brushes to create smooth gradients and smoked-out looks. But for the seven shimmery shades, I prefer using my fingers to apply the shadow to my lids for pigmented and bold wear. To accentuate the duo-chrome effect, I like to press down and drag the shade across my lid gently. To emphasize the glitter and sparkle detailing, I tap the shade onto my lid rather than blending it so that the glitter looks scattered.

Icy Nude Blush Filters: These blush shades deliver a more bronzer-like look, unlike a traditional, pink-toned blush. You can wear them alone if you want more of a sculpted, bronzing effect, or pair them with a blush shade to bring warmth and a pink hue to your skin. My go-to combination is pairing two dots of Latte underneath three dots of Watermelon Pop for that perfectly sculpted and rosy cheek.

Icy Nude Faux Filler Lip Glosses: The shade She Glitzy is best used as a lip topper to add shimmer and a high-shine finish to any lip combo. The shades She Flirty and She Fire are pigmented enough to wear alone or with lip liner and lipstick.

What to Consider Before Trying the Huda Beauty Icy Nude Collection

Icy Nude Eyeshadow Palette: This 18-pan palette has a wide range of tones suitable for neutral, olive, or cooler undertones. Although you can still use this palette if you have a warmer undertone, some shades may look a tad washed out. However, you can use a lighter base, like your undereye concealer or a white cream shadow, to help neutralize your lid and show the true tones of the shades.

Icy Nude Blush Filters: The shade Coco Loco is very pigmented compared to the other Blush Filter shades, which are known to be mess-proof and beginner-friendly. When using this specific shade, it's best to use one or two dots at first, and then build up the color if needed.

Icy Nude Faux Filler Lip Glosses: On my tan skin, I prefer using the shade She Glitzy paired with another lip color so I don't look washed out due to its pearlescent tones. The shade She Flirty also looks washed out on me when worn alone.
