Danny showed off his sceptre and crown after being announced the winner of this year’s I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

Speaking out after his victory, Danny gave an emotional speech. He said: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I gave my all in there, it's a lovely feeling to be liked. Thank you so much, I appreciate this so much.”

However, despite coming out on top, he won’t be able to keep his prize.

Danny told Lorraine that he had to hand everything back before flying home to England.

“I didn't get to keep anything! They wouldn't let me keep anything!” he shared. “I had to give the sceptre back. I really wanted to bring it through airport security because it's quite big.”

The singer added: “But yeah, I don't have anything to show for it.”

The winner of I’m a Celebrity doesn’t receive any cash prize for being voted in at number one, with bragging rights the only thing they walk away with.

Instead, all the celebrity campmates are paid a fixed fee for participating in the reality programme, which they receive if they remain in the jungle for at least 72 hours.

Danny went into the jungle as a favourite and joined his fellow bandmate Dougie Poynter as King of the Jungle, with Dougie taking home the win back in 2011.

Speaking about his experience in the jungle, a message from The Voice UK judge was shared on his social media.

It read: “This was one of the hardest and most amazing things I have ever done in my life. I would have never been able to have the incredible experience I’ve had, without these people. The camp mates made it for me. A huge congratulations to my fellow finalists Col and Revvo. I’ll be back on my phone and socials very soon Love you all.”
