The Mirror's I'm A Celebrity columnist Nicola McLean said Carol Vorderman owes Melvin Odoom a date.
Radio DJ Melvin, 44, had earlier confessed to having a soft spot for the 63-year-old maths whizz on the ITV reality show, divulging his secret crush to his campmates after receiving his luxury item—a pillow bearing Carol's image. After stepping out of the unforgiving Aussie wilderness as the fourth celeb to leave, lasting 18 days, Melvin admitted he yearned for a date with her and regretfully recounted how he was too bashful to approach her at October's Pride of Britain Awards.
After watching it all unfold, former I'm A Celeb star Nicola says the duo "should probably go on a date", adding that "she owes him that". She told The Mirror: "Imagine being that spoken about on I'm A Celebrity and you weren't even in the camp so I think she owes him for the air time.
"She should definitely go on a date with him. He's so cute as well. They'd be lovely together." It comes after Melvin revealed Carol slid into his DMs with a message of congratulations following his departure from the show.

Daily Mirror)Back in the outside world, a thrilled Melvin took to social media, bouncing onto Twitter and Instagram with a jubilant video exclaiming, "Carol is in the DMs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He revealed his excitement at checking messages for the first time since handing over his phone before heading into the camp, saying in the footage: "I'm about to check my DMs. I've spotted a message from Vorders herself. Let's see what it says."
Over breakfast at their hotel, his companion Jane Moore jokingly anticipated the contents with a cheeky guess at "Get lost, loser," to which Melvin laughingly responded: "No, no, no," before sharing the message Carol sent to the person managing his account: "Please give him my best. He's done so well", complete with a heart emoji.

" A third chimed in: "Go get your girl," while a fourth excitedly posted: "I have been living for this day!!!!" The sparks flew when Melvin rated Carol a perfect score during his jungle stint, cheekily telling her, "Check your DMs, girl, I'll be waiting."
Carol didn't miss the chance to engage, dishing out a little flirtation of her own on ITV's I'm A Celebrity unpacked. Host Joel Dommett played a flirty voice note from Carol saying: "Melvin... or should I say jungle man, Melvin Vorderman. Right, question, have you been spying on me? Because only last night I had little Thai food..." She went on to encourage him: "Jungle man, keep doing what you are doing, you're doing a brilliant job. see you on other side."
Her playful banter was a response to Melvin's question about taking her out for Thai cuisine. Melvin's adorable infatuation with Carol continued to be a hot topic on the show. Following an impressive win by him and Oti Mabuse in the Tanks of Torture trial, where they bagged 12 stars, Tulisa suggested playfully that Carol would be "proud' of Melvin's performance.
