Apple Martin lives a cushty life, spending time at high-profile events dressed in designer clothing, thanks to her ultra-famous parents.
While her Hollywood star mum, Gwyneth Paltrow, can sometimes be a hot topic of conversation, now Apple has been the talk of the town after she faced criticism for her controversial appearance at her debutante ball in Paris. The event, which took place on Saturday at the luxurious $1,000-a-night Hotel Shangri-La, saw Apple among 20 young women presented at the prestigious Le Bal des Débutantes.
The 20-year-old stunned in a strapless sky-blue customised Valentino gown. However, she soon set tongues wagging for the wrong reasons after a video surfaced showing how she acted towards another débutante during a photoshoot. As the fellow debutant posed for her snap with the photographer, Apple walked in from behind, taking her place for a photo, posing confidently with her hands on her hips.

Growing up, Gwyneth and Chris Martin, who famously 'consciously uncoupled' and divorced in 2016, kept Apple out of the limelight. Gwyneth kept details about her children's upbringing under wraps however she did shed some light on their top education. Discussing schooling with Alex Cooper on her Call Her Daddy podcast in 2023, she said: "I remember my kids both went to this fantastic elementary school here in Los Angeles after we moved back from London."
However, once Apple, believed to be reportedly worth a whopping £1m, turned 18, she drew attention as she made her debut in the fashion scene. The rising star showed up to Paris Fashion Week in January 2023, taking a prime spot on the front row of Chanel's haute couture runway. She was fitted in a in a chic black-and-white dress-and-blazer ensemble, courtesy of the French fashion house.
She was destined to be noticed in the creative world as, according to journalist Derek Blasberg, late Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld declared that Apple would be a 'Chanel Girl' after meeting her at just four years old. Apple clearly takes after her mother Gwyenth, who is also known for her good looks and sophisticated style.
In recent years, the actress, 52, has shared selfies alongside her lookalike daughter, while the pair have also been photographed together at events over the years, including her mum's party in the Hamptons in the summer, where she launched a new product by her brand Goop.

It is known that Apple is now a student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, however it hasn't been confirmed what exactly she is studying.
In October 2022, the mum-of-two, also mum to 18-year-old son Moses, opened up about how she struggled with her eldest leaving home. Telling PEOPLE: "It was horrible. It was truly horrifying. I was sick to my stomach, bursting into tears."
She continued: "She came home for October break just last weekend, so that was amazing. I see her, but not as much as I'd like. I'd like to see her every day, but I'm so happy for her. She's doing great."
Although it appears the privileged daughter may have a promising career in fashion, joining her mother's lifestyle brand isn't completely off the cards. In 2021, she 'it girl' appeared in a campaign for one of their latest products, GOOPGLOW Glow Lotion, which she also helped develop.
Her mum told an episode of TODAY: "When [the product] came out, I was like, 'Oh, my gosh, should I let her be in the picture or not?' Because she wanted to be in the picture. So we decided to let her." When probed further on whether or not she would follow in her mum's footsteps with the business, she said it was too soon to tell.
"I don't know. I think both of my kids are sort of like, 'We don't want to think about what we want to do. We just want to see what unfolds," she responded. As she recently took centre stage as a débutante, she was paired with an eligible young man with a similarly distinguished background to make her grand entrance at the ball.
Her date was Count Leo Henckel von Donnersmarck, who is the son of film director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and Christiane Asschenfeldt, the first International Executive Director of Creative Commons. Leo and Apple walked arm-in-arm as they entered the grand ballroom before she blew a kiss to her father Chris, who had come together with his ex-wife to celebrate their daughter.
Alongside her dazzling appearance in Paris, she is widely known to be well-travelled, having spent time with her mum on lavish holidays in New York. In 2022, she was seen partying it up in Ibiza with a friend, and in the same year, she took a sun-soaked trip to Barbados.
