Cat Deeley shares admission about her weekend
Cat Deeley is set to celebrate her birthday in style as she turns 48 today. The star recently made a comeback on British television as a regular presenter on ITV's This Morning, alongside former Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard.
The birthday girl is well-known for her stint on SMTV with Ant and Dec from 1998 to 2002, and later took over as host of Stars in Their Eyes from Matthew Kelly.
In 2006, Cat relocated to Los Angeles to present the American reality show So You Think You Can Dance. The 48-year-old spent 15 years in the US, where she married her husband, Patrick Kielty, in 2012 and raised their two children, Milo and James.
However, the family returned to the UK at the start of the pandemic. In a 2020 interview with You Magazine, Cat revealed that a harrowing experience had prompted their move back to the UK.
She recounted how Patrick and Milo were at a shopping mall when FBI agents ordered customers to take cover due to a shooter on the loose. Cat received a call from Patrick, who asked her to pick them up from a junction, trying to keep Milo calm.

She described the ordeal as "terrifying" and cited "fear" as a factor in their decision to return to the UK, reports Wales Online.
The presenter became deeply unsettled after discovering that American schools train children on how to respond during an active shooter situation. "The danger suddenly becomes a reality," she expressed.
Cat is happily married to her fellow broadcaster, Patrick Kielty, who hosts The Late Late Show on RTE One in Ireland and presents a Saturday morning show on BBC Radio 5 Live.
The couple, who tied the knot back in 2012, are doting parents to two children who remain away from the media glare. Their romance began after co-presenting BBCs Fame Academy back in 2003, although it took years for sparks to truly fly.
It was a grand romantic gesture that set their love alight, with Cat revealing that Patrick swept her off her feet by flying out to Los Angeles to be with her on her birthday. "That's quite possibly the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me," she shared with Closer Magazine.

Their whirlwind romance led them down the aisle in Rome after just nine months of dating. Following the announcement of Cats latest role on This Morning, an elated Patrick celebrated his wife's new venture on Instagram.
He posted a touching tribute accompanied by snapshots of Cat, enthusing: "I didn't know what a morning person actually was until I met this woman. She gets up every day with a smile on her face. A 5.30am, whistling in the shower, smile on her face. Then downs two coffees, and gives you the look. The 'what the f*€K's wrong with you, let's do this' look. It's not a pretend smile."
"And it's not just some mornings. It's every morning. Which is bloody difficult cos she's married to me. I should also mention she likes a chat. To anyone. About anything. Anywhere. If there's anyone in the world made for a show called @thismorning, it's this human. Strap yourself in @benshephardofficial And welcome to my world. We couldn't be prouder of you @catdeeley Go get 'em Mama!"
