US rapper OG Maco has died aged 32, his family has confirmed in a statement.
The rapper was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home on December 12, after which he was rushed to hospital, though the cause remained undisclosed, as per his manager and according to Rolling Stone.

He died on December 27.
"His life was a testament to resilience, creativity, and boundless love. Through his music, passion, and unwavering spirit, he touched so many lives and left a lasting impact," Maco's family wrote.
"While we grieve this immense loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he lived –one that will continue to inspire and uplift others."
"Thank you for standing by him throughout his journey," they told his fans, encouraging them to reach out through direct messaging to express their condolences.
"Today, we celebrate a life that was extraordinary in every way."

The rapper, whose real name was Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr, was known for his viral 2014 hit U Guessed It featuring 2 Chainz.
During his time in hospital earlier this week, rumours circulated that he had died, which his family firmly squashed, saying that he was "continuing to fight".
His manager PoppaPerc told AllHipHop at the time that the rapper was on "life support, still fighting."

"They are doing multiple tests on his brain and trying to let the swelling go down a bit, let his head heal a little bit, so they can do a procedure," he said.
PoppaPerc, who had found the rapper unresponsive said, "I thought he was dead when I first saw him.
"We need everyone's prayers, but don't get your hopes up," he added at the time.
It was not the first time Maco suffered health issues, with the star previously developing a flesh-eating disease, necrotising fasciitis, in 2019.

"I was improperly treated for a minor rash and ended up with a skin eating disease for the last few months," he wrote on Instagram at the time in a now-deleted post, as per Variety.
"This is the best it's looked. I hope it gives someone hope. I've been going through this alone 90% of the time, without the support of the person I love, without most of my 'friends,' without anything but my own strength and God."
Three years prior, in 2016, he had suffered from a serious car crash that left him with skull fractures, a broken orbital, and cracked vertebrae.
After surviving the accident, he shared a tweet that said, "I feel alive!!!"
