Jennifer Lopez is flying solo amid her ongoing divorce from Ben Affleck.
On Wednesday, November 6, a source told Us Weekly that Jennifer, 55, is not rushing into a relationship with anyone, saying, "She doesn't want to get into a relationship right away."
A separate source reiterated the sentiment and explained that she is focusing on herself. Jen wants to take some time to be single and find herself again," the insider explained. "That's the journey she's on," they stated to the outlet.
Per the second source, while the marriage between the former power couple is over, they still keep communication, primarily for their kids, stating, "Things are still amicable," and the duo "saw each other recently and are still talking."
The "Jenny from the Block" singer shares twins Emme and Max, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while the Argo actor shares three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.
The first source remarked that both the pop star and Massachusetts native are "very involved when it comes to the kids" and could potentially spend time together during the holidays.
The entire family is seemingly putting the kids first as the Monster in Law star's sister, Lynda Lopez, visited her soon-to-be ex-step-niece, Violet Affleck, at Yale University on Sunday, November 3. Violet, 18, is currently a freshman at the Ivy League institution. Lynda, 53, marked her visit with an Instagram post that included a sweet selfie with Violet on campus. The journalist captioned her post, "New Haven with my favorite Yalie! 💙"
Last month, the "Let's Get Loud" singer spoke with Interview magazine about the status of her dating life, again explaining that she's happy with singlehood.
"Yes, I'm not looking for anybody, because everything that I've done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f**king do when it's just me flying on my own...what if I'm just free?"
Affleck had some kind words for his former sweetheart earlier this month, telling Entertainment Tonight that "Jennifer is spectacular" in her performance in the upcoming thriller Unstoppable, which he co-produced.
