Singer Max George is now in a relationship with former EastEnders star Maisie Smith, who is 13 years his junior. But back in 2010 Max was in a relationship with Michelle Keegan, who at the time was gracing the cobbles of Coronation Street.
Michelle and Max, then 24 and 23 respectively, struck up a romance in 2010 and by December they were an item. Shortly before going public, Max gushed to New! magazine: "Yes, we are seeing each other. She's just beautiful. She's an awesome girl. She's a funny girl - and I love her accent too... it's early days though."
Following a whirlwind six-month courtship, Max proposed in June 2011. However, by January 2012, the pair had axed their lavish £250,000 nuptials.

At the time, 'hectic work schedules' were cited as the reason for their breakup. Insiders claimed to the Mirror that the duo decided to 'slow down' after enduring a 'tough three or four months'.
Allegations also surfaced that Max had been unfaithful to Michelle, following images of him kissing a blonde woman during a Newcastle night out. Max has opened up about his past relationship with Michelle, revealing that their split was due to his 'serious drinking problem' which caused him to forget much of their time together.
Michelle is now with former TOWIE star Mark Wright, with whom she got engaged after nine months of dating and tied the knot in a grand £1 million wedding in 2015. Michelle has remained silent about her previous relationship with Max.
Max has also moved on and is now with Maisie. The duo first crossed paths on Strictly in 2020 and initially became friends. However, love blossomed between Max, 36, and Maisie, 23, during the Strictly tour in 2022 and after several holidays together where they reportedly 'fell in love', they decided to move in together. This came just weeks after Max's break up with Stacey Giggs.
With Max from The Wanted describing his relationship with Maisie as 'the best thing he's ever done' and Maisie likening their romance to a movie, it's no surprise she's standing by him after Max disclosed the shocking news that he was hospitalised this week after 'feeling really unwell. ' Tests revealed he has 'some issues' with his heart and may require surgery, which could mean spending Christmas in hospital.
This could also affect the couple's scheduled performance as Parson Nathaniel and wife Beth in Jeff Wayne's The War of The Worlds 'The Spirit of Man' arena tour in 2025, where they portray a married couple. While Max has stated that he and Maisie 'won't be getting married yet', he did come close to tying the knot a few years ago, reports the Mirror.
Michelle and Mark delighted fans with their pregnancy announcement on Sunday, December 29.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday night, the pair shared a joint post, announcing the news: "2025 is going to be a special one for us… [baby emoji. love heart emoji]," the caption read. The snap shared by the excited pair showed Michelle cradling a baby bump on the beach with Mark looking on.
Michelle's pregnancy news follows years of intrusive questioning from fans and family members about if and when the two stars would start a family together. Speaking in 2020, the 37-year-old mum-to-be revealed her loved ones had finally stopped asking when she was going to have a baby.
