Saoirse Ronan - who has just been longlisted for a BAFTA award - has big plans for a seafront property in West Cork, reports Cork Beo.
She intends to knock down the existing house and replace it with a stunning new home overlooking Roaringwater Bay.
The actress, who secretly tied the knot with Scottish actor Jack Lowden last year, purchased the Ballydehob house in 2020 for a reported €650,000. The stone cottage, renowned for its dramatic natural beauty, sits on a 1.25-acre plot on the shoreline of Roaringwater Bay.

The plans include demolishing the existing house and replacing it with a three-bedroom home, along with extensive landscaping of the gardens that run down to the water's edge.
The current cottage is 125 square metres, but Ronan's plans will more than double the size of the dwelling, with a proposed 332 square metre house.
She also plans to relocate the cottage's private laneway to improve sight-lines around the property.
The existing stone cottage features a conservatory with breathtaking views of the bay.
There's also a 70 square metre guesthouse adjacent to the main property, which is not included in the demolition plans.
The property boasts gorgeous views, plenty of space for landscaping, and its own mooring spot on the bay - perfect for private day trips if Ronan and Lowden fancy a day on the water, reports Cork Beo.
The application was filed with Cork County Council by Ronan's Dublin-based company Slaney Productions ULC.
The plans were lodged on Friday, August 9, with a response from the Council expected by September.
Ronan purchased the Ballydehob cottage through West Cork property experts James Lyons O'Keefe. The actress' move to West Cork is hardly surprising, given her long-standing love for the area.
She's previously attended the Fastnet Film Festival and even enjoyed a tour of the bay and Fastnet Lighthouse. Locals are now accustomed to spotting the A-lister, who has her favourite restaurants and pubs in Schull and Ballydehob.
The four-time Oscar-nominated actress kick-started her career on RTÉ medical drama The Clinic in 2003 when she was just nine years old, before catapulting to fame with roles in major films like Atonement, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Lady Bird.
Other celebrities, including Graham Norton, who owns a home in Ahakista near Bantry, and actor Paul Mescal, who bought a farmhouse property near Schull, also seem to be drawn to the idyllic hideaways of West Cork.
