Oti Mabuse has landed a new lucrative fashion deal just weeks after leaving I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
The 34-year-old South African dancer has joined forces with Sainsbury's to launch a new luxe gym line. Oti, who won Strictly Come Dancing with actor Kelvin Fletcher in 2019 and with comedian Bill Bailey in 2002, made the announcement on social media.
Prices for the "Reaktiv" range, which is available from today at Tu.co.uk, start from £10. Pieces, including activewear and loungewear, leggings, sport crop tops, vests, joggers and jackets, are available in sizes XS to XXL. Oti described the launch as "a pinch-me moment" in a post on Instagram.
She wrote in the caption of her post: "I am delighted to announce the launch of my very own activewear collection. This is truly a pinch-me moment! Movement brings joy, especially when you're confident and comfortable and I wanted to create a range that not only makes you feel amazing but is accessible and affordable and designed with style and quality in mind too.
"Whether you're a yoga enthusiast, casual walker, or dedicated gym-goer - feeling great should be for everyone! Prices start at just £10 and pieces are available in sizes XSmall to XXLarge. You can now start to find the collection exclusively online at Tu.co.uk."
The line was created in collaboration with Tu's supplier Poeticgem. Charlotte Pettican, director of ladieswear at the company, said: "Each item is designed to mix and match seamlessly, making styling effortless and adaptable to any lifestyle."
Fans shared their excitement at the announcement as one wrote: "Love this. Love seeing it on a real body too. Running before it's sold out!!" Another commented: "Inclusive active wear WE LOVE TO SEE IT."
One more said: "So excited brought two new tops to kicks start my motivation for this year!" And someone else added: "Just thank you, @otimabuse. Just from this clip, I can see wide straps, and from someone who loves fitness but has also had a mastectomy on one side, and remains flat, this is everything to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you."
It comes just weeks after Oti competed in the 2024 series of I'm a Celebrity, making it to the final but ultimately finishing in fourth place. Last month Oti and her sister, Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse, made history by becoming the first duo to challenge the Banker on Deal or No Deal.
The sisters graced the game show on December 15, hoping to bag a hefty sum for their chosen charity. Presenter Stephen Mulhern opened the show by highlighting that it was the first time he had ever welcomed two players simultaneously to take on the iconic game. Oti and Motsi were supported in the studio by their closest family and friends, who stood behind a red box, including Radio 1's Dean McCullough.
