Instagram has announced that it is testing a feature that will allow users to reset their content suggestions. The social media giant announced in its blog post that users will now be able to reset the content recommendations they see in Explore, Reels, and Feed when they want a fresh start. The feature is built on tools that are already offered by Instagram that allow people to curate what they see in their recommendations.
Instagram will publish a page on its transparency center in order to share more information about how the company will make sure that teenagers can see the appropriate content on their profiles. The company wants to make the Instagram a safe place, especially for teens. With this feature, Instagram is trying to provide a positive and age-appropriate experiences to youngsters.

The company has started testing the feature and it will be soon live where users can reset their recommendations. In just few taps, you will be able to clear your recommended content across options like Explore, Reels and Feed.
Based on your reset, your recommendations will start to personalize over time, based on the content and accounts you interact with. Additionally, you will also be able to review the accounts you’re following. This will allow you to make a firm decision on who to unfollow if you no longer interested in their content. Instagram is also partnering with organization experts Joanna and Clea from The Home Edit. They will help parents on how they and their children can customize and organize their Instagram account.
