Instagram is bringing a new feature named trial reels that will make the journey of the creators on the application smoother. The feature will let the creators make reels and show them to the users who do not follow the creator for feedback. Through an official blog post, Instagram announced that the trial reels will help the creators experiment with content like storytelling, new genres, and a lot more.

The new content will be only shown to the non-followers of the creators in the Reels and feed section. In addition, Instagram will also provide the key performance insights of the posts including views, comments, shares, and likes after 24 hours.

After that, the users will be able to share the reel with their followers as well. Creating a trial reel on Instagram is no rocket science, the creators are just supposed to turn on the Trial toggle that can be seen below the caption text box. Once the user shares the trial reel, it will be visible on their profile next to drafts.

The trial reels won’t be visible on the creator profiles but still, the followers will be able to see the posts with them directly. The posts may also appear on a page that shows reels with the same audio, location, and filter.

As claimed by Instagram, it will automatically share the trial reel with the followers if it is performing well with the non-followers within the first 72 hours. Nonetheless, creators will have full authority over the same and can change the settings as well. The trial reels have already started rolling out for all the eligible creators. All the users who have a professional account will get to see the feature.
