iOS 18.2 beta 4 is now available to developers as we inch closer to next month’s public release. The update includes major new Apple Intelligence features, a redesigned Mail app, upgrades to Find My, and much more.
Notably, iOS 18.2 beta 4 is not yet available over the air. It’s available as a download via Apple’s developer website. The over-the-air update should be released momentarily.
iOS 18.2 beta 4 is available to developer beta testers with build number 22C5142a. A new version of the public beta will likely be released later this week. iOS 18.2 is available for all iPhones that are capable of running iOS 18. Apple Intelligence features, meanwhile, are limited to the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models.
Most notably, iOS 18.2 includes the second round of Apple Intelligence features:
- Image Playground allows you to create “fun images in seconds” by typing, offering two styles: Animation and Illustration.
- Genmoji lets you generate custom emojis based on text descriptions.
- When you interact with Siri in iOS 18.2, you now have the option to access ChatGPT.
- The Writing Tools feature now offers a “Compose” button to generate text related to your chosen topics. There’s also a new “describe your change” option for Writing Tools.
- Visual intelligence utilizes the iPhone 16’s camera control to help you learn more about the things around you.
- Image Wand in the Notes app let you turn rough sketches “into delightful images” and create images using context from the rest of your note.
Last week’s release of iOS 18.2 beta 3 included new changes for the Camera Control, the Photos app, and more. You can check out our full roundup for all of the details.
