Kim Kardashian could be set to begin legal action against Kanye West to stop the popular rapper from taking their children to Japan as the 47-year-old bids to fight off sexual assault allegations from multiple instances.
However, it's thought that the relocation ambitions from the Power singer, known now as 'Ye', predate the accusations made against him by one of his former assistants and his chief of staff, Lauren Pisciotta.
The Skims founder, who holds a net worth of $1.74 billion dollars, will no doubt be concerned of the claims made against the father of her children but her main focus is the renegotiation of their custody agreement if he moves to Tokyo.
"Rumors have been swirling for a while Kanye intends to relocate to Tokyo and renegotiate his custody terms with Kim," a source tells RadarOnline.com. "Because he'll want their four kids to travel there frequently once he's settled.
"That obviously poses all sorts of complications and challenges from a logistical point of view, and Kim's worried about what the future holds if he goes ahead. She'll lawyer up and likely fight him every step if necessary."
West and Kardashian are father and mother to North (11), Saint (8), Chicago (6) and Psalm (5) who were born during their decade-long marriage between 2011-2022 and they both continue to coparent, with Kim holding primary custody rights.
What are the accusations against West?
West currently faces accusations of sexual harassment, sexual assault and the rape of one of his former staff members, Lauren Pisciotta, who he is also accused of wrongfully firing from her post.
The 36-year-old woman, who also has a successful modelling and content creation career, accuses the singer of two instances of sexual assault as well as claiming he drugged and raped her at a Sean 'Diddy' Combs party.
One incident relates to 2021 when she says he undressed in her hotel room to take a shower before she says, "he attempted to forcefully thrust his naked body onto and penis into (Pisciotta's) face," as she begged him to stop to which she claims he ignored.
A second incident concerns allegations that he locked the pair in a bedroom and masturbated under the sheets whilst she sat away from him, scared to disturb him when he fell asleep before a colleague let her out of the room.
And a third incident describes how the pair allegedly went to a party with Combs, where she "suddenly started to feel disorientated" after a drink and felt as though she lost control of her body and speech and was unable to remember anything.
She claims West refused to explain what happened when she woke up, before revealing later that they "hooked up" one time as he recalled the events of the party in 2022 before laughing off her concerns when she said she doesn't remember it.
West currently denies all the allegations and claims against his name as of Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
