A former Coronation Street star has revealed that she's expecting her first child, declaring that 2025 will be "going to be a wild" ride. Sacha Parkinson, who brought the character of Sian Power to life on the ITV soap, was delighted to share the huge news online.
The actress, who starred in over 200 episodes between 2009 and 2011, shared snapshots of herself in red silk pyjamas cradling her growing baby bump, alongside a festive message: "Merry Xmas Eve huns. I have a feeling next year is going to be a wild one."
She received joyous responses from her Corrie co-stars. Brook Vincent, aka Sophie Webster, expressed her affection saying: "I love you all so much!!!" Lucy Fallon, who is better known as Bethany Platt and is soon to be a mum again herself, commented: "Congratulations!!!! Yayyyyy exciting news xxx."
Congratulations also came pouring in from Ellie Leach, fondly known for her Strictly Come Dancing win and Corrie role, who replied: "sooooo excited." Georgia May Foote, formerly Katy Armstrong on the show, echoed the sentiment saying: "Omg!!! This is amazing! Congratulations!!! "
Back in October 2023, Sacha happily announced her engagement, posting a beaming selfie with her fiancé, showcasing her dazzling ring. She captioned the posts with the phrases "I knew you were likely to take a wife!" and "SCREAMING" to highlight just how thrilled she was about the significant relationship milestone, reports the Mirror.
