The Chase: Bradley Walsh asks Shaun Wallace 'what's happened?'

Whether you are a fan of the quiz programme or not, there is no denying that The Chase is one of the most popular long-running quiz shows on our television screens.

Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the programme consists of the six chasers: Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis.

Shaun is famed for being a huge knowitall and preventing players from winning large sums of prize cash since he joined the show in 2009.

The 64-year old, known as The Dark Destroyer, used to be an English barrister and part-time lecturer before his TV career kicked off.

In a recent interview with The Times, Shaun revealed his eye-watering salary and that his earnings primarily come from his career on The Chase instead of practicing as a lawyer.

Speaking about how much he earned last year, he said: "A lot. That’s all I’ll say. How many zeros? Well into six-zero territory and my earnings have increased massively since I’ve started working in TV.

"I got paid well as a barrister but I’m now earning about ten times the amount I was before. I still practise, though, so I have a dual income.

"Probably 70 per cent of my income comes from my TV work and 30 per cent from the legal side. Everything changed when I won Mastermind in 2004. Not just my finances, my whole life."

In terms of Bradley Walsh's net worth, his is also rather impressive. Bradley has been on our TV screens since 1982 when he first started performing as a comedian.

His big break came in 2004 when he played Danny Baldwin in Coronation Street. Walsh is said to have a combined net worth of a whopping £20 million, according to The Mirror.

Due to his immense TV presenting work load, he is believed to earn more than Dermot O'Leary. Bradley has also had a go with acting, and has featured in Doctor Who, Law & Order UK, and King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword.
