Jadakiss has stated one of the greatest parties he's ever been to was one thrown by Diddy long before the mogul was hit with sexual trafficking and racketeering allegations.
On the latest episode of Complex's GOAT Talk, the Yonkers native sat down with his son Jaewon for a round of "greatest of all time" questions. One interesting question was about the greatest party that the father and son duo has been to. According to Kiss, the answer would have to be one thrown by Diddy when The LOX were going on tour, and he made it clear this party was a regular event that happened way before the shocking allegations came out against the Bad Boy Records founder.
"Me? It's by far it was a Diddy party, you know what I'm saying. You know we was signed to Bad Boy, so we had some of the best parties we ever was in, in our life. It was Diddy parties," said Kiss. "This is long before anything, any allegations, or any of that. We was only going to house parties and gymnasiums."
He continued describing the exact party they went in the record books, "My GOAT party used to be a place called Metrodome on 20 something street we had a launch to the tour party. We had a party, then the tour buses was outside, and then we went on tour after the party. That was the GOAT party. That was incredible. The parking lot was filled with tour buses."
As a member of The LOX alongside Styles P and Sheek Louch, Jadakiss was signed to Bad Boy Records in 1996, and they released their debut album Money, Power & Respect in 1998. By the summer of 1999, the group was dissatisfied with the direction of their career and demanded a release from Bad Boy to sign with Ruff Ryders Entertainment.
The group got their wish after an intense guerilla "Free The Lox" campaign that put pressure on Diddy to let Kiss, Styles, and Louch walk from the once-storied label.
