James Kennedy was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence on Tuesday following what police are referring to as a domestic incident, potentially involving the Vanderpump Rules alum and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber.
Just weeks after Bravo confirmed the 32-year-old DJ would not be featured in the upcoming 12th season of their long-running reality show, police in Burbank, California, where James purchased a $1.3 million home last year, responded to a call about a dispute between James and an unnamed woman.
According to a report shared by TMZ on December 12, a witness saw the argument taking place between the two parties and shared that James allegedly grabbed the woman. That said, once police arrived, no visible injuries were seen on the person.
As Pump Rules fans may have seen, James appeared to attend a holiday party at Kathy Hilton‘s home, a nearly 15,000-square-foot mansion in Bel Air, on the night of the arrest — with Ally in tow.

Following an investigation, police determined a domestic incident had taken place and James was taken into custody before being released on $20,000 bail.
Days later, the Burbank City Attorney’s Office is said to be looking over the case and considering filing charges against James.
James and Ally began dating in early 2022, less than two months after he split from his former fiancee, Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 30.
One day prior to his arrest, James shared a photo of himself and Ally at SUR Restaurant.
“Hey are you guys open?” he asked in his caption.
After the news of the Pump Rules reboot was confirmed, James shared a statement with his fans and followers on Instagram.
“I can’t lie, I’m holding back some tears as I write this. It’s been a pleasure being a part of Vanderpump Rules and filling your TV screens with our lives over the past decade,” he wrote. “I’ve dedicated my life to this show and I’m forever grateful to everyone who tuned in. All of my dreams are finally coming true; this year I played Neon Carnival, EDC and Stagecoach and I have a Vegas residency — and I have all of you to thank. It’s been a wild ride and I’m excited to see what the future holds. Although this is a bittersweet ending, this is just the beginning! THANK YOU.”
Vanderpump Rules season 12 is expected to begin filming sometime early next year.
