Jamie Laing and Spencer Matthews have left fans ‘gutted’ after announcing their beloved 6 Degrees podcast is coming to an end.

The Made In Chelsea stars began 6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer in 2020, and have delighted fans with their antics as they attempt to track down a different megastar in each episode with six phone calls or less.

From Brad Pitt to Paul Rudd and Jennifer Lopez, the duo have had their detective hats on over the past four years and multiple seasons, but all good things must come to an end as the duo announced their latest episode will be the last.

Jamie, 35, and Spencer, 36, are joined by comedian Phil Wang for the last-ever episode as they discuss their favourite moments, best guests, and crown the final Listener of the Week.

On Instagram, Jamie shared a hilarious compilation of some of the show’s most wild and hilarious moments, featuring Samuel L Jackson, Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum, Sydney Sweeney and even Steve Carell.

Morgan Freeman introduced the video in a very special clip before it showed moments such as Spencer testing out his rapping skills and celebs rating which of the duo they prefer.

Jamie penned an emotional message to mark the end of the podcast, paying tribute to Spencer as well as thanking fans who have tuned in over the years.

‘What a ride it’s been!! We’ve done over 200 episodes, interviewed every Hollywood superstar there is from Jenifer Lopez to Brad Pitt and of course, Paul Rudd!’ he wrote.

‘After all these years we have however decided to bring 6 Degrees from Jamie & Spencer to its final curtain call.

‘We want to say a huge thank you to the @bbc & @bbcsounds for allowing us on air. We want to thank the people behind the microphone, in particular David Lloyd and of course the 3rd Co-Host and dear friend @philstocker. We yank your chain a lot, but we do secretly love you.

‘But most importantly we want to appreciate each other. We have been friends for over 20 years now and have worked together for most of our adult lives and still each week we make each other laugh and argue. We’re true brothers.

‘Thanks also to you, the listener, without whom the show could not have been a success, we leave you with some of our best bits!!

‘For the last time, and please be honest, tell us who you prefer…. Spencer or Jamie? X.’

Fellow host Phil also commented his own message of thanks for Jamie and Spencer, detailing the wild ride they’ve been on.

‘What a ride it’s been! Woulda never imagined we’d do NINE series of us talking nonsense & hounding famouses…😂’ he began.

‘@jamielaing @spencermatthews it’s been lovely getting to know you and becoming good friends over the course of the pod.

‘6D basically worked cos we really enjoyed chatting to each other & having a laugh The most important bit was putting our listeners at the heart of it – a pod for everyone. Whether you chipped in with a message or were a listener of the wk, or whether you just listened each Thurs, (hopefully) smiling at our latest “antics”.

‘We were always quite touched when you told us how the pod got you through difficult times & raised a smile.

‘I always enjoyed chatting with listeners who messaged/called the 6D hotline – it was like a nice community where we somehow all knew each other, even tho we’d never met!

‘So thanks again to Jamie, Spencer & yes @davewomble for making the socials & being a top colleague – but mainly thanks to YOU for listening. If you did.

‘If you never listened, there’s still 206 episodes just waiting for you on @bbcsounds right now..!’

Fans took to the comment situation to express their dismay over 6 Degrees ending, with donners75 writing: ‘Absolutely gutted!!! I’ve said it for years, you two need your own TV show.’

Za_raah added: ‘So gutted to hear it’s come to an end. I will really miss the podcast as I did truly love and enjoy it. It’s been my go-to for the past few years and helped me get through WFH. Followed you guys from your Chelsea days. It’s been nice to see your friendship continuing and growing.’

Many said they would miss the podcast, with others stating they were excited for whatever Jamie and Spencer do next.
