Jason Kelce is clapping back after he was caught possibly sleeping during the Eras Tour!
The former NFL star took his wife Kylie, kids Wyatt and Elliotte, and his mother Donna Kelce along with a bunch of friends to Taylor Swift‘s first performance in Miami this past weekend. During the show, his pal Beau Allen snapped a pic of him sitting with his eyes closed during the concert. That sparked rumors that he was taking a nap — but he’s shutting that down!

On Wednesday’s episode of New Heights, Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce questioned his bro about the viral moment, to which Jason urged:
“I’m sitting here and I’m just feeling it, I’m tapping my thigh, in the moment. And then all the sudden, I go on Twitter and I see this f**king picture. I’m like, dude, what the f**k? I’m not even sleeping, and I can prove it to you. There’s evidence in this photo that I’m not sleeping.”
What’s the evidence? He said:
“If you zoom in on my right hand, my hand is hovering. You can’t sleep with your hand hovering above your knee! It’s impossible!”

Jason also noted that he had gotten a VIP box to bring a bunch of people, but he didn’t realize how exposed it would be. He detailed:
“We got out there and I realize, I’m like in the middle of the open. It isn’t like a box that’s enclosed. I feel kind of in a fishbowl. Like everybody’s staring at me. So, I’m like, okay, I’mma sit down.”
The Philadelphia Eagles alum also compared the moment to when he used to play in the jazz band and would always close his eyes because he was feeling the music so much. Hah! He later joked:
“I invite Beau Allen and then all of the sudden, friendly fire. Like I’m nervous about all these other people getting pictures with me and Ellie, and I’m trying to have a moment. And then all of the sudden, I see this. Betrayed by one of my best friends.”
LMFAO!
But despite the viral controversy, the dad of three had a BLAST! He gushed:
“This Miami show was incredible. I don’t know if it’s because we’re back in the U.S. because I think the London crowd was incredible, but the rain. Dude, it was on another level.”
He even texted the Kansas City Chiefs player during the performance to rave about the Anti-Hero artist! Jason dished:
“I texted you halfway through it, ‘This rain, Tay is killing it.’ Dude, when Reputation came on and she came out in a new outfit and the rain was coming down, the place could have f**king erupted. I mean, it did. The amount of energy was insane. It was so exciting.”
That’s so cute! This fam is so supportive!
The tight end was feeling bummed out about not being at the show, tho. Travis expressed:
“I had all the FOMO in the entire world with the entire family and a lot of our friends being there… Man, I wish I was there… Shoutout to Tay Tay for powering through a few rain shows there.”
Jason finished with:
“Keep killing it, Tay.”
