Perhaps no other professional athlete has seen his off-field persona grow more than Travis Kelce over the past year. The Kansas City Chiefs star's relationship with Taylor Swift has brought him into the global spotlight, where he continues to thrive. But his ascent to stardom off the field began before he even met Swift, and he used the help of his brother, Jason Kelce.
Together, the brothers launched their "New Heights" podcast in September of 2022, which quickly became one of the most popular sports podcasts in the United States. Both Travis and Jason have eccentric personalities and are extremely knowledgeable about football, both of which were keys in making the show a hit. Piggybacking off of the success of the podcast, Jason used his rising fame and turned it into a job with ESPN post-retirement.
Kelce has been a frequent co-host on Monday Night Football on ESPN, but he is set to get his own show at the start of 2025. Debuting on January 3 will be "They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce", a one-hour show that will be filmed in front of a live audience in Philadelphia. It's an exciting endeavor for Kelce, although the planning hasn't exactly been a smooth process.

Ross Ketover, a senior executive for NFL Films that is helping produce the show, called it "scary and nerve-wracking" in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Totally high-wire for us without a net. Comedy is hard, sports and comedy is hard, us doing essentially a live studio show is something very new and exciting, but Jason is just a force of nature, and we're so excited to be in business with him.
Given Kelce's outgoing personality and sometimes lack of filter, it makes filming a live show somewhat of a risk. But Kelce has proven to be a great media professional and will bring about plenty of viewers.
