Jennie Garth found shelter with her ex-husband Peter Facinelli amid the Los Angeles wildfires.
On Thursday the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress took to Instagram to share an emotional post. “I wanted to let you know that we are safe. Peter and his family took us in and have been so kind. I am deeply saddened for our city. And just feel numb,” Garth wrote in the caption.
Garth and Facinelli were married for 12 years before they divorced in 2013. They share three daughters: Fiona, Lola and Luca. Garth has now been married to Dave Abrams since 2015. She brought her daughters and husband, Abrams, to seek safety at Facinelli’s home.
She continued: “Our home was spared but so much to clean up and ready to get active to help our neighbors and friends and fellow Angelinos. Dave has been amazing transporting all our bags and boxes, loading and unloading. Just keep everyone here who is suffering in your heart and prayers.”
In a tearful video, she said: “I’m so grateful for Peter for letting us stay at his house. Me and all the girls and the dogs and Dave. We’re so grateful to all the firefighters and the news reporters and all the people that are volunteering and providing things for the people that lost everything. Fires are still burning. It’s just unimaginable.”
Garth also mentioned how she and her family feel “so blessed and so fortunate” and they are “praying for everybody else.”
Numerous celebrities have lost their homes due to the fires, including Milo Ventimiglia, Mel Gibson, Mandy Moore, Anna Faris, Paris Hilton and Anthony Hopkins, among others.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Friday that the known death toll from the wildfires continuing to engulf Los Angeles county has risen to 10.
