Jennifer Lopez and her most devastating year: "It's been like watching someone trying to heat ice cream in the microwave"

Can Jennifer Lopez hit back after a challenging 2024 after the 55-year-old faced multiple setbacks? Experts think it's a tough road ahead for the On The Floor singer after her failed ventures.

The year kicked off with Lopez's The Greatest Love Story Never Told documentary, that didn't hit the heights she and her team expected. She then had her This Is Me... Now album bomb which resulted in the cancellation of her tour.

Jennifer Lopez shares cozy Christmas Eve moments with family

After that came a divorce from Ben Affleck after four years of marriage, with the actor packing his bags, leaving their shared home and never looking back as they missed their anniversary together and their birthdays.

And now her movie, Unstoppable, completely failed to take off in the United Kingdom where it earned just $3900 across the opening weekend before it was subsequently pulled after failing to attract fans by the end of the second week.

So on the basis of that, it has just been blow-after-blow-after-blow to the woman worth $400 million dollars, and a PR expert thinks Lopez can weather the storm and perhaps even stage a dramatic fight back.

"Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to adversity," Jon Harris told The Daily Mail. "She's built her entire career on resilience and reinvention, and I don't see this moment as an ending - it's a pivot point.

"She's proven time and again that setbacks don't define her - they fuel her ... The truth is, JLo's brand transcends short-term stumbles.

"She isn't just one album, one movie, one relationship, or even one era of her career. She's a symbol of hard work, reinvention, and staying power.

"Public attention is a double-edged sword, but if anyone knows how to turn scrutiny into strength, it's her. People love a comeback story, and when she's ready to own the narrative, the world will be ready to listen."

Lopez like trying to microwave ice cream

Harris isn't the only one tipping Lopez to fight back as Eric Schiffer also suspects the model has what it takes to rebound to success in the future.

However, he did concede that her year has been difficult and even confusing, drawing a humoring analogy for her battles in her career.

"In many ways JLo's comeback has been like watching someone try to microwave ice cream," Schiffer told The Daily Mail. "Confusing and doomed from the start. But, queens don't crumble - they recalibrate.

"This is not career suicide for JLo since her celebrity remains too mega. But she will keep bleeding out brand sentiment until she chooses to partake in quality projects authentic to her talent and says no to anything, no matter the extra dollars, that don't meet that standard."
