GMB: Jeremy Clarkson doesn't want to talk about his pub

Jeremy Clarkson has caused outrage with fans after introducing a strict new rule at his rural Cotswolds pub The Farmer’s Dog.

The Clarkson’s Farm star is cracking down when it comes to punters, who have been left so enraged by the measures they are refusing to visit the venue at all.

The pub has now introduced its after Christmas menu, which includes mouth-watering dishes including Pan Haggerty, 12 hour slow cooked beef and roast turkey. The menu was posted to the pub’s Instagram account, along with a disclaimer that hit hard with fans.

At the bottom of the menu, underneath the desserts, it read: “Please note we are a cashless venue.”

Sharing the post online, the accompanying caption read: “Tired of Christmas cracker jokes & turkey sandwiches? None of those here. So join us! Open from 12-6 with food until 4:30.

"A pint of Hawkstone is sure to provide some welcome relief from certain family members, don’t you think? Merry Christmas, one and all."

But fans weren’t happy, with one fuming: “Why are you a cashless venue?” and someone else saying: “Perfect, but cash is king.”

Another said: “The menu looks amazing. Would love to visit but why are you cashless?? Very disappointed. Now sadly won’t visit because of this. Shame on you Jeremy." And a fourth penned: “Noooo cashless should be banned or boycotted, why boost the banks... KEEP CASH ALIVE."

Plenty more fans simply wanted to explain how delicious they thought the menu was, with one gushing: “Had the Scotch broth and slow cooked beef last week. So yum. Lovely to get soup that’s piping hot for a change. Beef was melt in your mouth and gravy was incredible. Could taste the quality of the ingredients.”

Someone else agreed: “Oh my goodness that menu sounds delicious!”
