Charlie Dimmock previously opened up about having children, expressing concerns about the commitment that comes with it.
The Garden Rescue presenter, 58, shared her thoughts about becoming a parent during an interview in 2000. At this point, Charlie had been dating viticulturist John Mushet for over a decade.
When asked about where they stand on getting married, the former Ground Force star suggested that it wasn't something they would consider unless they had children.
"Truly, it’s not something that comes up in conversation," she told The Sunday Mirror. "It’s not important. I suppose it would only become important if we ever decided to have children, but maybe not even then."
Asked directly about children, Charlie added: "At some point I suppose. I think John would like kids but I still don’t feel I’m old enough to look after a child."

The gardening expert felt she wasn't at the right point in her life to commit to having children as she went on: "It’s a huge responsibility and a daunting one, and I’m not sure I’m ready for it yet.
"People say that having a child is the biggest financial commitment two people can make, so how can I make that commitment when I don’t even own a house?"
Charlie and John's relationship came to an end in 2001 after her affair with Ground Force microphone operator Andy Simmons came to light.
Despite the affair casting a shadow over the TV presenter's eight-year stint on Ground Force, Charlie admitted she has "no regrets" about how things turned out.

She previously said: "I don't see Andy anymore, but I don't regret what happened. You wouldn't do anything if you kept worrying about what might go wrong."
Despite having no regrets, the TV star admitted the initial split from her partner of 13 years was difficult to process.
"John and I had been together for a long time so when we split up I relied heavily on family and close friends,” she told Daily Mail. "I've discovered that the most difficult after-effect of the break-up is getting into another relationship."
