Liam Payne's alleged manager, Roger Nores could be jailed for one to five years.
The former One Direction singer tragically died aged just 31. He fell from the third floor of a hotel. An autopsy ruled that Liam had died instantly after his fall which caused "multiple traumatic injuries" and subsequently led to "internal and external haemorrhage." At the time of his death, Nores denied being Liam's manager and stated he was a "very dear friend."
But in new court documents filed in Argentina, he is listed as the "victim's representative", being identified by his initials, R. L. N. Five people have since been charged following Liam's death. Roger Nores, could face one to five years if convicted and members of staff at the CasaSur Palermo hotel, including chief receptionist Esteban Grassi and head of security Gilda Martin have been charged with manslaughter.
Waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz, 24, and hotel employee Ezequiel David Pereyra, 21, have been accused of selling Liam drugs and given 24 hours to return to court. The pair, who were identified by their initials face between four and 15 years behind bars. Prosecutors had been seeking Nores' indictment on a more serious claim, namely abandonment of a person followed by death as well as a drugs supply charge, which carries a sentence of between four and 15 years behind bars if convicted.

The prosecutors claim he "abandoned" Payne, "knowing that he was incapable of caring for himself, knowing that the accused suffered from multiple previous addictions – to alcohol and cocaine – and having full knowledge of the state of intoxication, vulnerability and helplessness in which he found himself".
The head of the National Criminal and Correctional Court No 34, judge Laura Bruniard, said Nores "is responsible for the crime of negligent homicide as the perpetrator given that he had assumed a position of guarantor in front of the family of the deceased". It is claimed there is footage showing US citizen Nores was in the hotel around 50 minutes before the Teardrops singer's death, and the judge said he "should have consulted a doctor" and "should have done this without relying on what the hotel employees could do".
The drug deals Paiz and Pereyra are facing charges over were dated and timed by prosecutors - 3.25am on October 15 and “between 3.30pm and 4pm" on October 16 in the case of suspended hotel worker Pereyra and 3.24am on October 14 and "between 10.03 and 10.44" the same day in the case of Paiz when they said Liam Payne went to his house to pick up the narcotics after they spent nearly five hours together in the singer's hotel room from 3.25am to 8.15am.

"The way he was being handled shows a state of vulnerability," the judge said, adding that Payne being taken to his room was a "risk to his life". "Payne's consciousness was altered and there was a balcony in the room," she added. "The proper thing to do was to leave him in a safe place and with company until a doctor arrived."
She added that she does not think Martin and Grassi acted "maliciously", but were “"mprudent in allowing him to be taken to the room and taking him there respectively". Concluding, the judge said Nores, Martin and Grassi "contributed, although not in a planned manner, to creating a risk that resulted in Payne's death, whether by action or omission".
Bruniard has told the three men she charged with manslaughter there is "no co-authorship in the crime they're accused of and the way they created a situation of risk which resulted in Liam Payne's death, is different." Prosecutors said she decided not to remand them in prison, unlike the two men accused of selling Liam drugs, because they have well-established links to Argentina and the crime they are accused of does carry the possibility of a suspended prison sentence in the event of a conviction.
They added referencing Nores: "In any case with regards to R.L.N who is an American national, she maintained a ban on him leaving Argentina to guarantee his stay in the country."
