Britney Spears believes her son Jayden James Federline has a future in music — just like his mom.
“Britney sees so much of herself in Jayden,” a source tells Page Six exclusively. “She got started at such a young age, too, and respects his work ethic.”
The 18-year-old showed off his music production skills via Instagram on Dec. 21 after moving back to California and reuniting with the 43-year-old pop star.
“Britney loves Jayden’s style and thinks he has such a fresh sound,” our insider shares. “She’s so proud of him and all the work he’s clearly put into his passion.”
We’re told Spears thinks Federline is “so talented” and has a “bright and successful future ahead of him” in the industry.
“Britney fully supports Jayden’s music producing career,” the source tells us.
“She doesn’t think he needs any advice but let him know she’s more than willing to lend a hand or offer any help along the way if he needs or wants it.”

Page Six broke the news last month that the mother-son duo had rekindled their once-estranged relationship after Federline returned home from Hawaii, where he and his brother, Sean Preston Federline, moved with their father, Kevin Federline, in August 2023.
“Jayden is an adult, and Kevin supports if his sons want to pursue a relationship with their mom,” a second source tells us of the former backup dancer, who was married to Spears from October 2004 to July 2007.
The Grammy winner shared her first video with Jayden in years last week as they celebrated Christmas together, telling her 42 million Instagram followers that she had the “best” time with the teen.
“Best Christmas of my life! I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years!!! Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!!!” she gushed.
In the social media upload, Jayden said “hello” to Spears’ fans before the pair wished everyone a “merry Christmas.”
After the singer shared the post, her youngest child started following her on Instagram for the first time in years.
We hear Preston, 19, has yet to reunite with his mom.
Reps for Spears did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
