Jeremy Clarkson may be celebrating his anniversary with his beloved today, but his other love, the Diddly Squat Farm, is struggling following Storm Darragh.

Unfortunately for the Clarkson's Farm star and his team, the Oxfordshire pub, also known as The Farmer's Dog, has failed to withstand the grueling conditions of the storm, which recently passed through the UK and brought gusts of up to 93mph in some parts of the country.

Taking to social media, the pub announced that the Grand Tour tent section of the establishment was being closed until further notice after it was lashed by high winds and rain, resulting in some urgently needed repair work. It's an unfortunate closure as the tent attracts visitors because it is the tent Jeremy and his former Grand Tour co-stars Richard Hammond and James May toured the world with.

But, alas, it was no match for Storm Darragh. Due to the nature of the damage, the closure also meant Jeremy needed to close the farm's butchers, off-licence Hops&Chops, the shop and the garden kitchen, known as The Famer's Puppy.

"Sadly, our Grand Tour tent will be closing for some much-needed wind repair today," a post to their social media account read. However, it wasn't all bad news: The Farmer's Dog main pub would remain open to members of the public as the storm continued to pass through.

Fans were quick to make light of the situation, with many taking to the comment section to share a joke that might bring a smile to Jeremy's face. "What did May do? Or did Hammond crash into it?" One person wrote. "Reminds me of Hammonds motorhome on top gear where he managed to set fire to metal", another added.

One social media user took it a bit too far with their comment and earned a blunt reply from Jeremy himself. "Surprised you didn't take it down before the storm came would of been easier", the person said, with the telly star replying: "It takes 24 people seven days to put that thing up or take it down."

Meanwhile others were desperately wanting to know when the pub will be full functional again: "Will the tent and farm shop be open again by this coming Thursday 12th?" One person commented with the pub confirmed that the farm shop is "standing strong" and will be back in business in time for this coming Thursday.

The Farmer's Dog opened for business at the end of summer on August 23, with hundreds of people lining up to become the first customers through the doors. Having already hit the jackpot with his Diddly Squat farm shop in the lush surroundings of Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, it was no wonder the star expanded his horizons with this recent venture.

Originally known as The Windmill pub, Jeremy purchased the five-acre property for "less than £1m" before rebranding it. Currently, the watering hole is open every Wednesday to Sunday from 12 pm to 11pm and serves drinks and meals made from locally sourced ingredients from British Farms.
