Clarkson's Farm star Jeremy Clarkson has launched a new "non-advent calendar" for his fans who love a tipple and don't want to ditch their drinks in Dry January
Jeremy Clarkson: Customer 'stealing' from Diddly Squat Farm ShopJeremy Clarkson is launching a particularly boozy anti-advent calendar in protest against Dry January.
Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy, 64, has been getting stuck into the alcohol business after opening his pub earlier this year. He also has released a brand of beer which has been flying off the shelves - but faced criticism after hiking prices.
Now, the Clark's Farm star is embarking on another mission to help those who love a tipple continue to revel in the festive season. He is doing this by launching an anti-advent calendar filled with a variety of alcohol.
Being released through his beer company, Hawkstone Beer, the boozy calendar will keep the drinks flowing through January - a time when many people ditch the bottle as part of a health kick. However, Jeremy has slammed January as a month entirely, branding it "rubbish".
Two different versions of the calendar are set to be released, which will give punters a different drink to tuck into every day throughout the month. The boozy calendar, which also includes an emergency drink for February 1, will set customers back £85.
Hawkstone Beer says in the description for the product: "January is rubbish, your drinks don’t need to be." Jeremy himself plugged the calendar, saying that he wants to help those who will be going through Dry January - or wanting to scrap it altogether.
Explaining the product in a video, the company said: "What better to make a sometimes miserable month a jolly one - with a little bit of excitement to open every single day. Order now - back British farming, drink Hawkstone."
The alcoholic version - dubbed the "Not Advent, Advent Calendar: Damp Edition" - features a host of different drinks. Punters will receive 16 330ml cans of Hawkstone’s 0.3% Spa lager, 15 330ml cans of 3.4% Hawkstone Breeze lager and a 70cl bottle of Hawkstone vodka.
Two shot glasses also come inside the box. But those wanting to adhere to Dry January are also catered for.
As well as the Clarkson’s booze brand also offers a "dry" edition of the calendar retailing for the same price, as reported by What’s The Jam. This box consists of 31 330ml cans of Spa lager and a bottle of vodka to celebrate after getting through the month.
Upon discovering the anti-advent calendar, fans were thrilled at Jeremy's latest business venture, with one user beaming: "I would buy 2 and have them shipped to Alaska if I could." A second pined: "Shut up and take my money."
A third account was also thrilled with the launch of the product, writing: "That is pure genius! I’m just enjoying one of the 24 Hawkstones that my wife bought me for Christmas - marvellous stuff; cheers all!"
It comes as Jeremy's various businesses continue to see him rake in the cash, despite fans stealing as many as 100 glasses from his pub in a single day and flogging them online. Jeremy fumed about the move in column in the Times, saying it was "nigh-on impossible" for the pub to make a profit after the thefts.
