Jeremy Clarkson Update Offered By Co-Presenter After Emergency Heart Surgery

2 months ago 8

Kaleb Cooper, known to many through the Amazon Prime hit series "Clarkson's Farm," recently provided an encouraging update on Jeremy Clarkson's health following an emergency surgery. Clarkson, of Top Gear fame, underwent urgent heart surgery after symptoms suddenly arose.

While away on holiday in the Indian Ocean, Clarkson experienced alarming symptoms, including clammy hands, a tight chest, and pins and needles down his left arm. This sudden change prompted Clarkson's admission to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where a blockage in one artery and near obstruction in another were discovered.

Doctors quickly got involved, adding a stent to restore blood flow. It was not a heart attack, the medical experts clarified, yet it was severe enough to cause significant concern, as Clarkson reportedly was "days from death."

Cooper was closely involved during this time and was present during Clarkson's health scare.

"I was there with him when it happened, and all I can say is that he's definitely a fighter, he's a strong man."

Following the successful procedure, Cooper reassured fans of Clarkson's progress:

"He's doing good, he's really good. I was with him yesterday, we was on the farm together and I'll go and say hello to him in a minute, have a cup of tea with him probably after this."

In the wake of this scary episode, Clarkson famously reflected on his own mortality.

Life at Diddly Squat Farm continues despite these personal challenges, although it hasn't been without its hurdles. Cooper admitted that the farm is struggling with its third consecutive difficult year, primarily down to difficult weather making wheat and barley planting particularly troublesome.

Cooper's ties with Clarkson extend beyond just working on the farm together. He's become a good friend of the presenter. After the opening of Clarkson's new pub, The Farmer's Dog, Kaleb commented on their relationship.

"I pay for everything I have there because I know how much it takes and how much it costs to run that pub," Cooper said. "I don't want anything for free; everything I've got now I've worked for."

He continued:

"The good thing is, when he's not on the farm, he's at the pub, which is great for me because of course he's not there on the farm, so I can just get on with my day job and do everything easily," Cooper shared.

Though the pub presents its own set of challenges, it remains a rewarding enterprise for both Clarkson and Cooper.

"The pub is very stressful but again, it's a great place to be. I was there on Friday night playing darts and it's great but it's extremely challenging.

"Whenever you start a new business you get challenges that you've not faced before."
