Jessica Simpson re-listed her massive Los Angeles estate two days before she announced her separation from Eric Johnson after 10 years of marriage, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to real estate records obtained by In Touch, Jessica placed her 7-bedroom, 13-bathroom, 13,274 square foot mansion in Hidden Hills, California, for sale on January 11.
Jessica purchased the home for $11,500,000 in 2013 from Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.
The pop star listed the home for sale in September 2023 for $22 million.
In August 2024, Jessica removed the listing from the market. However, the property is now listed as “active” and for sale at the price of $17,900,000.
The home is described as “nestled within the highly sought-after guard-gated community of Hidden Hills.”
The property listing reads, “Awe-inspiring features abound, including eight spacious en-suite bedrooms with beautifully appointed baths, a guest house complete with a kitchenette, and an intricately paneled study featuring a warm fireplace.”
The primary suite features a stone fireplace and an expansive his-and-hers walk-in closet. The real estate agent noted the home had once been featured in the “esteemed pages of Architectural Digest.”
The listing also touted, “The heart of this home lies in its state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, where culinary dreams come to life. Showcasing top-of-the-line Wolf appliances, a walk-in pantry, a central island and a breakfast nook.”
During the recent L.A. wildfires, Jessica said she had to evacuate her home.
Jessica shared a photo of smoke from the fire near her property. She captioned the post, “We stayed as long as we could” along with a praying emoji. Based on the interactive map released by the Los Angeles Fire Department, Jessica’s home does not appear to have been damaged in the fires.
Back in 2023, Jessica and Eric temporarily relocated from Los Angeles to Nashville.
At the time, the singer told E! News that they had rented a home for the summer. “Being in Nashville, even my kids are like, ‘You laugh the whole time. You’re so happy,’” she said at the time. “It’s because I’m not on guard.”
She added, “I’m with a lot of like-minded people. It’s not about the celebrities — it’s really about the music and the heart and the conversation.”
Jessica said in July 2023 that she was considering a move to Nashville to work on music. As In Touch previously reported, on Monday, January 13, Jessica announced she was separating from Eric.
The exes did not release a joint statement, but rather the singer released her own after months of rumors about the state of their relationship.
It read, “Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage. Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”
Eric has yet to comment on the split. As of now, no divorce petition has been filed.
Last week, Jessica posted a car selfie showing off her smile. She wrote, “Life is short. SMILE while you still have teeth.”
Jessica and Eric wed in July 2014 after dating for four years. They share three children: Maxwell Drew, 12, Ace, 11 and Birdie Mae, 5.
