Jesy Nelson's motherhood U-turn as she announces pregnancy after saying 'it's not for me'

Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has delighted her fans by revealing she is pregnant - having previously revealing candidly that she did not think she would have children

Jesy Nelson has had a change of heart about motherhood - as she now cannot wait to become a first time mum.

The 33-year-old former Little Mix star stunned her fans on Sunday when she announced she is pregnant - and seemingly with twins. The Secret Love Song singer took to Instagram on Sunday to share a photograph of herself posing with her 25-year-old musician boyfriend Zion Foster and her growing baby bump.

She shared the snap alongside a caption stating: "She's eating for three now" - leaving fans thrilled that she appeared to be expecting twins. Her happy news comes over three years after she hinted she did not see motherhood in her future.

Jesy, who found fame via The X Factor in 2011, shocked fans when she quit Little Mix in December 2020 - ditching her co-stars Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall to pursue a solo career. She promoted her solo ambitions in a number of interviews the following year.

And it was during a chat with Glamour magazine that she opened up about her thoughts on parenting - sharing that she was not sure if she would take the plunge in the future. She told the magazine: “It’s just not in me. I think as a woman, [motherhood is] either in you or it isn’t.”

She said: “You either have that maternal feeling or you don’t, and I’ve never had that feeling. I think women have to do what is right for them." She also revealed that she had not at that time met either Leigh-Anne or Perrie's babies - as both Little Mix singers had started their families in 2021.

When asked if she’s met their children yet, Jesy told the outley: “No. I’ve sent a few texts, but that’s it. I can’t explain it, it’s like there has to be this distance.” Now the star has thrilled fans by revealing she is embarking on motherhood with her younger boyfriend.

Jesy and Zion have been dating since November 2022 and now will have their futures tied together forever as they prepare to welcome children together. Fans were thrilled to see Jesy looking excited and happy in her baby announcement post.

And a further fan wrote: "So so so happy for u. Dreams do come true." Others were intrigued by Jesy's announcement wording - picking up on the fact she stated she is eating for three.

One wrote: "Does this mean twins? Eating for 3???" While another typed: "Yes! Looks like it for sure." And another laughed: "why would she be eating for him lol".
