JoJo Siwa has come under fire over a ‘tone deaf’ video amid the LA wildfires .

Thousands of homes across Los Angeles have been destroyed by the devastating wildfires, including those owned by Paris Hilton, Harrison Ford and Billy Crystal.

Five people have sadly lost their lives in the blaze, according to officials . It's reported over 1,000 homes have been destroyed and more than 70,000 people evacuated. One of the areas hardest hit is the Pacific Palisades, an affluent Los Angeles neighbourhood that is the home to many high profile A-listers, including Mandy Moore , Anthony Hopkins and Jamie Lee Curtis, all of whom have lost their homes in the unfolding carnage.

The wildfires are still raging on and some celebrities are returning to their homes to see the heartbreaking damage caused. Star Wars icon Harrison Ford somberly looked on as he returned to his neighbourhood while actor Ashton Kutcher offered a hand to friends affected by the devastation.

In a now-deleted Instagram video shared by her girlfriend Kath Ebbs yesterday, 21-year-old JoJo was herself seen packing up belongings in case she had to evacuate her home, however the star’s ‘essential’ items left her social media followers disgruntled.

Seen by MailOnline, in the clip, Jojo was seen packing up expensive clothing should she have to flee due to the wildfires. Kath explained in the clip that they’d been warned on Wednesday that they might have to leave her partner’s sprawling Tarzana mansion.

Uploading a series of videos on social media, Kath began: “Things my girlfriend packed in case of a fire evacuation.” JoJo was seen packing expensive and bedazzled items as she quipped: “What else do you need?”

JoJo added: “I have all my legal documents. I'm going to fill the car up with my favourite things.” Fans were quick to hit out at JoJo, with one writing: “This is so tone deaf.” Another echoed: “What about all the people who are losing their homes, family, pets and belongings? What about wildlife? Why post this?”

Other comments included: “We care about the people who don't have the money to rebuild their lives after the fires,” and “I think there are more important things to talk about.”

It comes after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became the latest famous faces to speak out about the LA wildfires. The Duke and Duchess live in Montecito, California, with fires burning just 60 miles away in Malibu. In a statement, the couple said: "In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighborhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life.A state of emergency has been issued. If you feel compelled to help, here are some resources and ideas."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continued: "If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do. And be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need help evacuating. Some families and people have been left with nothing. Please consider donating clothing, children’s toys & clothing, and other essentials. The American Red Cross is on the ground helping those in need."
