Joss Stone's husband's response to seven kids plea - leading to adoption before shock pregnancy

Pregnant singer Joss Stone is on her way to having the huge family she's always dreamed of as she prepares to welcome a fourth child into her brood.

Joss was left utterly gobsmacked after discovering she's pregnant, hot on the heels of adopting a baby boy. The 37-year-old vocal powerhouse, already mum to three-year-old Violet and two-year-old Shackleton with her other half Cody DaLuz, recently welcomed adopted son Bear into their family.

Yet, in a twist that took her fans by surprise on Thursday evening, she announced another addition is on the way. Showing off a pregnancy test in an Instagram video, Joss penned: "Honestly. Shocked was an understatement. Nothing and no one can take our joy now. We are so chuffed ! ! ! ! Maybe we should call the 'Less is More' tour the preggo tour."

The future mum-of-four previously revealed how she told her husband of her dream of having seven children during their very first date! In 2020, she met her husband-to-be Cody DaLuz, a former US marine, who didn't get deterred after she revealed she wanted a huge brood. She tried her conversation starters with him while on dates, telling him "Nice to meet you'" before telling her date: "I want seven kids". He simply replied he wanted an adoptive Beagle and an adoptive baby.

The married couple completed their dream earlier this month as Joss shared the joyous news that she's adopted a baby boy named Bear. In an Instagram post, the singer gushed: "Happy mummy Mondays . This is what happened to us last Monday. We can not quite believe it. We are in love big time with this little guy. The reason why Cody even exists is because his bio mum loved him enough to make an adoption plan for him and the same goes for Bear."

She continued, "Honestly bio mothers do not get the gratitude they deserve. It is a more selfless love than I knew existed. Truly . We are just so happy to be part of this beautiful cycle. In a video accompanying the post, Joss - who counts Prince Harry and Prince William among her friends - was seen receiving the call from the adoption agency, before breaking the news to her children, Violet, 3, and Shackleton, 2. She then headed to the hospital with husband, Cody DaLuz, to collect their new arrival.

Joss' current blissful life in America is a far cry from her past experiences in Devon, where she was the target of a kidnap plot in June 2011. As the years passed, her single status led her to make the decision to relocate to America more permanently in 2016. "When I was growing up, I wanted loads of kids but I couldn't find the right man so I got to 30, living in Devon, and said to Mum: 'I'm moving to America and I'm not coming back until I have a husband and a child.' I had to change something, so I did," she told Great British Life.

In 2020, she met her future husband Cody DaLuz, a former US marine, who wasn't put off when she revealed her desire for 'seven kids'. Although she is now living her dream life in Nashville, Tennessee, the 2011 kidnap plot has had a lasting impact on her perspective. She previously revealed: "What happened to me in 2011 has made me lock my doors and have an alarm system, whereas I didn't before," "Cody's so mellow - he says, 'Oh, we don't need to worry about that,' and I'm, like, 'Well, you know, people do sometimes try to kill you'."
