Could sparks be flying on the set of Dancing With the Stars?

On Tuesday, November 27, DWTS host Julianne Hough shared a rather salacious moment with football player-turned-dancer Danny Amendola.

After performing a Barbie-themed dance with his partner Witney Carson, the wide receiver lounged on a prop bed while he waited to receive his score from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli.

As Julianne, 36, joined Amendola, 39, and Carson, 31, on the "Ken's Mojo Dojo Casa House" style bed to interview him about his performance, the NFL star had one query for the host. "The real question, Julianne, is why are you in my bed?" Julianne didn't miss a beat, responding, "Ooo, is that an invitation?"

The comment prompted a shriek of delight from Carson and Julianne's brother, Derek, who looked a little uncomfortable as the camera panned to him while he gave the athlete a score. "What is happening?" he asked.

Fans of DWTS have been quick to analyze the veracity of the interaction. One TikTok user deconstructed the moment, saying, "There's no way Julianne doesn't have a crush on him." Followers shared their takes in the comments. "I actually noticed it even before that during the first scores for them, she was super flirty," wrote one observant fan. Another shipper added, "I was actually thinking it might be a good match then he did his flirting thing and I was like YESssS lol 😂."

Amendola has been romantically linked to influencer Xandra Pohl, although they have said they are just friends. His previous relationships include singer Jean Watts and model Olivia Culpo, who is now married to football player Christian McCaffery.

Julianne, meanwhile, was married to hockey player Brooks Laich from 2017 until their separation in 2020. She also dated American Idol and Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest, with whom she remains close friends.
