Katie's property has not gone up in value (Image: undefined)
Katie Price's infamous 'Mucky Mansion' has been sold for less than its original purchase price, despite the overall increase in property values. The former glamour model acquired the mansion for £1.35 million but had to list it at a reduced £1.5 million.
After an initial sale fell through, the price was dramatically cut by £150,000. Despite further reductions, the mansion remained on the market until recently. Now, with a slashed asking price of £1.15 million, Katie has found a buyer. A Rightmove public notice states: "Mortgagees in possession are now in receipt of an offer for the sum of £1,150,000."
Unfortunately for Katie, she won't profit from the sale as she lost ownership following her eviction in May due to bankruptcy over an unpaid tax bill. The 46 year old TV star was forced out of the nine-bedroom residence, which sits on 12 acres and was once showcased in her own TV series. She purchased the property from Conservative politician Francis Maude in 2014, reports The Mirror.
Any proceeds from the current sale will go towards settling debts against the Sussex home, including a reported £750,000 owed to the tax authorities. This marks Katie's second time facing bankruptcy.

After Katie vacated the premises, what was left behind was a shocking scene of dereliction. The vast grounds wilted into wilderness, the pool a stagnant pond of algae, while cleaners were faced with the Herculean task of shifting rubbish heaps and towing away forsaken vehicles just to whip it into a sellable condition.
It emerged that a staggering 20 tonnes of refuse had to be carted off before the market could even glimpse the property. But come July, the mansion underwent a stunning revamp that erased its sordid past during Katie's tenure. The estate, once dubbed the "Mucky Mansion" in homage to its fallen grace, always gnawed at Katie, who lamented, "I absolutely hate the Mucky Mansion, even how it's been called the Mucky Mansion because of all the stuff that happened there before."
The mansion's dismal reputation also haunted daughter Princess Andre, who previously expressed her aversion towards the erstwhile family seat. Commenting on the reality series, the teenage Princess recalled, "I didn't really like this house at the start. It was a dark house. There were just so many bad memories in it. I didn't even want to walk on the driveway."
That very programme chronicled Katie's crusade to resurrect her 19-room, defaced, and dilapidated abode into a forever family nest. The show ran across two seasons before Katie's escalating financial woes brought it to an untimely halt.
