Celebrity Katie Price is set to have her lungs checked following concerns raised by her mother’s recent lung transplant.
Speaking on the Rob Moore podcast, the TV personality disclosed that her mum's health ordeal has spurred her on to ensure she's in top shape: "I'm getting my lungs checked next month, where my mum went. Not because I think there's something wrong with my lungs, but because of what mum had, (it's) just to check."
She also admitted to being seduced into vaping, despite her and her mum never having smoked before: "My mum's had her lung transplant and she's never smoked. I've never smoked, I'm not a smoker, (but) a year ago smelling all these (vapes) what people do and I got the taste (for them)".

Price revealed that a medical expert has already cautioned her about the risks of vaping during a virtual consult: "When he was on the phone to me, because they have to do a Zoom (call) before they see you, he said if anyone was going to start anything, smoking or vaping, even though he advises none, he said smoke not vape, he said these (vapes) are so bad for you."
Her mother Amy has been battling idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) since 2017—a condition with an expected life expectancy of two to five years post-diagnosis.
While there are treatments available for Amy's condition, such as oxygen support and medicinal options, in some cases like hers, a lung transplant may be the best course of action. According to the NHS, IPF is a condition that causes scarring on the lungs and difficulty breathing.
It's still not entirely known why someone develops the condition, but it is believed to be more prevalent in those aged between 70 and 75, while it is uncommon in the under 50s.
Katie first gained fame as a glamour model before becoming a household name after appearing on I'm A Celebrity in 2004, where she met her ex-husband Peter Andre.
Since then, she has made several appearances on major TV shows including Loose Women, where she was a regular panellist from 2015 to 2018, and won Celebrity Big Brother in 2015.
