Katie Price, 46, didn’t hold back in her judgement of fellow singer Kylie Minogue’s vocal skills.
The OnlyFans model shared a new video on her YouTube on Wednesday, showing her in the studio as she worked on new music. In the clip, she and her sound mixer listened back to one of the tracks she was working on, when he seemingly told her she sounded similar to Aussie star Kylie, 56.
“Do you?” Katie asked, exclaiming, “I didn’t think Kylie could sing!” The camera man couldn’t hide his shock, saying: “Bloody hell… well, shots fired.” Katie then explained: “She’s not the best. But I’m not the best. I like Kylie - I grew up with her - but I don’t think she’s the best singer. I’m definitely not the best singer, so I suppose that’s a compliment, then.”
Peter Andre ’s ex continued: “She’s got the right songs. You’re going to be doing me the right songs!” she said, pointing at her producer. “It is what it is. I love Kylie, I love her as a performer, but I just don’t think she’s the best singer. I think there’s obviously better singers. Yeah, good songs, I love Spinning Around. Maybe I should do some covers of Kylie. If I sound like her, then maybe…”
This isn’t the only time Katie has teased new music in recent days. Just last week, both she and her best pal Kerry Katona, 44, said that they were working on a single together. The duo is currently working on a panto of Cinderella in Northwich for Christmas, and took to Instagram to share the success of ticket sales so far. Both Katie and Kerry posted a photo of a news article about the performance, in which they play the wicked step-sisters.
Alongside the shot, Katie wrote: “25 years of friendship and our first show together after the jungle and me and [Kerry] have smashed box office sales… wait for our new single, alongside a starry eyes emoji. Kerry shared a very similar message, writing about her long friendship with Katie and also hinting at a musical collaboration. “25 years of friendship and we’ve smashed it!! Watch this space… single on its way,” she wrote.
Katie looked very casual in the video from her recording studio, ditching her usual glam in favour of a more relaxed look. She showed off her tattoos in a simple white tee, paired with comfy joggers. The star’s black hair was loose, but styled back from her face to reveal her latest surgery. Katie recently underwent a face lift, with the operation setting her back a jaw-dropping £10,000.
The glamour model has reportedly spent around £100,000 on cosmetic surgeries over the years. On the Go Love Yourself! podcast, she admitted: “I’ve never thought I’m good-looking, and I still don’t,” adding that her constant changes might be due to body dysmorphia.
