It’s official — Kendrick Lamar isn’t just the G.O.A.T. to some of his hardcore fans. He’s also the G.O.A.T. to Heinz, too.
The condiment brand recently capitalized on K. Dot’s viral “MUSTARRRRRD!” lyric by creating a billboard featuring its mustard and Lamar's impassioned call to producer DJ Mustard. Below the picture, the words, “IF THE GOAT IS CALLING FOR MUSTARD, IT HAS TO BE HEINZ,” appear.
Ever since K. Dot aggressively yelled the lyric on “tv off,” fans everywhere have been screaming the West Coast producer’s name. The producer himself even shared on X that he even screams his name.
"I just walked down the street and yelled my own name i forgot i was me,” Mustard shared in a recent post on X.
Lizzo also joined in on the fun while on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2s stream with SZA. During a quiet moment, she blurted out “MUSTARRRRRD!” — prompting both SZA and Cenat to convulse into laughter.
On the brand side, Heinz hasn’t been the only one to reference K. Dot’s lyric. McDonald’s shared a social post of its honey mustard sauce also referencing the track. Dreamworks Animation, multiple football teams (including the Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders), and even Crunchyroll (using Goku from Dragon Ball Z) also hopped onto the trend.
K. Dot’s GNX is about more than screaming Mustard’s name though. On the album’s track, “wacced out murals,” the rapper addresses Lil Wayne being upset that he’s performing at next year’s Super Bowl. "I used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down," raps K. Dot.
Lil Wayne responded on X with a post suggesting that he’s not afraid to start a beef if provoked. "Man wtf I do?! I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head," he wrote. "Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love."
Weezy F. Baby wasn’t the only person to be referenced on the surprise album. On the same track, K. Dot had a few words for Snoop Dogg for posting Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” during their beef.
