Kevin Costner's Ex Christine Baumgartner Seems To Be Sending a Message About Her Current Relationship

Christine Baumgartner is showing the world that there is life after being married to a Hollywood celebrity. In 2023, she and Kevin Costner navigated a contentious divorce that played out in the press. The former couple finally came to a settlement after she contested their 2004 prenuptial agreement, and the 50-year-old handbag designer moved on to a new relationship with Josh Connor. 

Baumgartner and Connor seemed to be sending a strong message in their latest paparazzi snapshots captured by Page Six. They were spotted entering the New York City hotspot Il Totano on Wednesday, Dec. 11 while snuggling together under an umbrella on a rainy winter night. The duo looked so happy and a pal of Baumgartner’s shared that the restaurant was special to them. They decided to take “it back to where it all started” after a trip to Manhattan last fall.

It also sounds like Baumgartner and Connor’s romance has taken a serious turn because the source claimed they are “so in love after she stayed in a tough marriage.” The mom of three is “beyond happy to be in a committed and loving relationship with someone that shares her same values” which feels like a slight dig at her ex. Still, the timeline of her relationship with Connor had the Yellowstone star questioning whether she stepped out on their marriage.

“Kevin had strong suspicions that something was going on between Christine and Josh,” a source told Us Weekly in January. “Their close [bond] was a real elephant in the room.” Costner and Baumgartner used to socialize with the financier and his ex-wife Patricia after their daughters became friends. Baumgartner’s trip to Hawaii with Connor in July 2023 raised a few eyebrows even though she insisted it was a platonic vacation with their kids. 

“It’s hard to say if there was anything going on with them, but he did put his hand on her leg at one point that I saw,” a source told the Daily Mail about their brief PDA. “That was the only actual physical interaction.” Baumgartner didn’t think Costner had any right to chime in about her love life after their divorce was settled. “Christine doesn’t think Kevin has anything to complain about,” the Us Weekly noted. “Josh has been Christine’s rock throughout the divorce ordeal. If Kevin has a problem with that, that’s on him.”
