To help aid the excitement of the Eagles being one win away from the Super Bowl, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker wanted to hype up fans by shouting out the iconic "E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES" chant. The issue is that the mayor messed up the spelling, which has now gone viral.

Instead of spelling out Eagles the correct way, Mayor Cherelle Parker spelled out "E-L-G-L-E-S." The flub has been talked about plenty, leading to Commanders fans selling "Fly ELGLES Fly" shirts at a tailgate before the big game.

Now, Eagles diehard fan and funny man Kevin Hart joined in on the fun. In a video posted to his Instagram, Hart playfully shouted out the mayor, along with her mess up.

"The kid is on the ground. Philadelphia, stand up. You hear me? It's go time! I'm fresh of the bird to see the birds. You already know what it is. E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles. If you wanna spell it the other way, we can do that too. Shout out to the mayor E-L-G-L-E-A-P-S, Eagles, Ok," Hart says in the above video.

Naturally, Hart is taking a minor shot at the mayor, but he is definitely joining in on the fun that everyone has had since the spelling flub.

Regardless of the chant being messed up slightly, Eagles fans are still overtly excited about their team potentially making another Super Bowl.

Philadelphia won its first Super Bowl in 2018, and the team has been attempting to secure another championship win. They did appear in the Super Bowl again in 2022 but lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 38-35.

Should the Eagles get past the Commanders, they could presumably be facing off against the Chiefs again. This is assuming the Chiefs can get past the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game.

If the Chiefs make it, the Eagles could get their revenge on the team that prevented their second Super Bowl victory in franchise history.

For now, Hart, the mayor, and everyone is pulling for the Eagles to make it to the big game. At the time of this writing, Philadelphia is in perfect control with a current 35-14 score.
