Khloé Kardashian blasts LA Mayor over wildfire chaos: 'You are a joke'

Khlo? Kardashian isn't holding back as the raging wildfires across Los Angeles leave devastation in their wake. The reality TV star took to Instagram Friday night to call out LA Mayor Karen Bass, labeling her response to the crisis "a joke."

Kardashian's fiery critique came after Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley gave an emotional interview to Fox 11, accusing the mayor of failing the city.

Crowley claimed that despite pleading for increased funding over a month ago, her department was left without the necessary resources to address critical issues like firetruck repairs and hydrant maintenance.

"I stand by YOU, Chief Crowley!" Khlo? wrote on her Instagram Story, sharing a clip of the interview. "You spoke the truth, and you had tears in your eyes because I can tell you didn't even want to say that. But it was THE TRUTH!!!!" She added, "Mayor Bass, you are a joke!!!!"

Khlo? isn't the only celebrity expressing outrage. Actors Mel Gibson and James Woods have also blasted Mayor Bass for what they see as a lackluster response to the fires, which have decimated areas like Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and Altadena since Tuesday.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan, including Kim, Kourtney, Rob, Kendall, Kylie, and matriarch Kris Jenner, were among those forced to evacuate their homes near Calabasas as the Kenneth Fire tore through over 1,000 acres. While the evacuation order has since been lifted, it's unclear if the family has returned to their properties.

Despite the chaos, the Kardashians have been giving back. Khlo? revealed on social media that they partnered with the renowned Carousel Restaurant to provide meals for firefighters, first responders, and volunteers.

"Thank you for putting your lives on the line for all of us!" she wrote, praising the brave men and women battling the flames.

While the Kardashians' homes remain unscathed, not all celebrities have been as fortunate. Paris Hilton lost her Malibu home earlier this week, and stars like Leighton Meester, Miles Teller, Heidi Montag, and Billy Crystal are among those whose residences have been destroyed.
